Water and contaminants are the Primary cause of blown Fuel Pumps and Fuel Injectors in Diesel Engines! These foreign substances have a severe impact on the service life and performance of your diesel generator DG engines. There is absolutely no way to prevent water formation from contaminating diesel fuel due to the fact that condensation inside the fuel tank is constantly forming and becomes an imminent threat to your diesel engines. Water is the primary responsible for abrasive effect to engine components and cylinder walls. in addition, such contamination along with the formed water displace diesel fuelâ€™s lubricative coating on the high precision injector components, causing tolerance erosion, surface pitting, loss in fuel pressure and continuous drop in the engine overall performance. To note that abrasive foreign matters are being introduced constantly through handling, transportation and storage of fuel.

OEM fuel filters are made of pleated papers, they must be porous enough to allow full flow of fuel which limits their filtration capacity to between 10-30 microns. This is wide enough to allow water and contaminants to penetrate into the engine sensitive components such as the fuel pump and fuel injector leading to their frequent failure.
