We export Falcata (albizzia falcata) door components doormakers world wide.

Falcata are very lightweight wood with density of only 180 to 240 kg/m3; almost similar to Balsa wood Altough this species is a softwood in category, ancient tribes in Indonesia used this wood as warrior hand shield, which are lightweight but very tough. Falcata color are slightly lighter than pine. The textures are very fine with mostly straight grain. The wood are easy to work and machined; moulded, turned and carved

Our door component products from Falcata wood:

1.Wood Stave Doorcore with/without hardwood frame of weight only approx 30 lbs per piece. To be finished at doormaker shop by gluing various type of doorskins/plywood to make solid core flush door..
2.Basic Flush Door – solid wood stave door core already laminated with 2.2mm thick short veneer on both faces. To be finished at doormaker shop by pressing thin PVC, woodgrain paper or thin veneer of popular species on each faces.
3.Falcata Core Stick for production door stiles, rails and jambs. The core stick are made from FJ finger jointed solid Falcata wood, formed to S4S. Normally at the doormaker factory, the core sticks would be laminated on both sides with choice of hardwood lipping and then laminated on both wide sides with similar species of veneers to produce the door rails and stiles. Beside for use in as door stiles, this core stick are also use to produce engineered door jamb and to be finished by wrapping PVC or choice of thin veneer.
