Bemseca is a Portuguese company with a
strong tradition in the salting and the
drying of codfish. In spite of merely
counting a fifteen-year-old activity our
experience is based on an ancestral family
tradition of quality production, wich enable
us to have a consistent market and an
adequate recognition of our products
worldwide.
The making, treatment and handling of fish
are carried out internally, within our HACCP
plan for hygienic and quality patterns,
followed, on a permanent basics, by an
inside quality team.
In 2004 we accomplished a renewal facility
investment, duly credited by the
veterinarian authorities, increasing our
productive ability, starting new investment
operations and enlarging the existing
productive capacity.
We privilege the acquisition of frozen cod
on board in order to ensure the highest
freshness rate of our raw materials, being
the gadus morhua, gadus macrocephalus
and all byproducts of the cod species our
main, given its greater quality and final
