It plays an important role in economical, social and the cultural life of the Chin tribe in Myanmar. This animal is reared under free grazing condition primarily for its meat. Mithun meat is very soft and very delicious and only rich people in Myanmar can afford to eat. Mithun is a very rare animal and it grazes at above 6000 ft height Mountains available only in Myanmar with 300,000 animals and 50,000 in some parts of hilly regions in India in the world. Myanmar Mithun meat is one of the best!!
