Sidera Trading Switzerland belongs to a group of companies, all fully owned by Maurizio Zecchin. He has 30 years of experience in the fast changing markets of commodity trading and acquired the basics of the business when he started buying copper and other raw material for the factory of his father in Italy in the eighties.
The Zecchin family, whose roots are in the Veneto (Italy), looks back on a long industrial tradition: As far back as 1553, the Zecchin family has a record for being specialized in the processing of non-ferrous metals such as the manufacturing of copper and gold coins (Sequin (Ital.: Zecchino) = Ducat, Venetian gold coin). Throughout his whole business career, Maurizio Zecchin has nurtured and continued this family tradition. His experience in the metal processing industry helped him to establish successful businesses in Italy, Canada and various other countries around the globe, always anticipating the needs of the customers.
