The Mount-Cameroon project was created by the Presidential decree No, 31/350 of the 13August 1999. It is based on Agricultural development of the Southwest Region of Cameroon.
The key objectives in its creation were;
-To raise the farm-family income.
-To increase income distribution.
-To increase food crops and cash crops production.
-To increase foreign exchange reserve by raising the level of quality of export crops particularly COCOA POWDER, COCOA BEANS COFFEE and food crops; Kassava, Coco-yams, Yams, Plantain, Maize, Potatoes, Wheat, Beans, Ground-nut, soy beans and Vegetable like Pepper, Onion, Garlic, Ginger, the Beans, Maize, Pepper have their different species, these are what M.C.P cultivate to the market.
