This company is a Common Initiative Group, involved in the gathering of non timber forest products like eru, snails, kola nuts, and spices, harvested from the extreme northern Bakundu community forests.
We have been operating in a small scale, since 2009, selling our products only around the cities of the south west region, with minor external trade with traders from neighboring Nigeria.
We are looking for marketing opportunities with other nations in and out of Africa. dry snails and njangsang are our main products, but we usually act on command to gather other items, which we sell to visitors from Europe and America. However, we do not sell any fresh products. we only sell dry products, which are lighter and less perishable.
we get the local farmers involved in the activity to earn extra income, even though we the members of the CIG are involved in the processing and packaging of the products.
As of now we have not started buying any products from abroad, but we hope to start doing so in the future if we find a conducive business climate.
