Sonitec-Vortisand inc. has developed and market since more than 20 years a unique filter for water polishing. The Vortisand filter system is an automatic backwashable centrifugal sand filter, which combines centrifugal separation and sand filtration. Vortisand operating with microsand achieves very fine filtration (0.45 micron) at high rate while using 80 to 90% less water for backwashing compared to traditional sand filters. The Vortisand filter is widely used for cooling tower side stream filtration, district cooling chilled water filtration, pre RO/DI, water reuse and other specialized polishing water applications. Our Vortisand filters help achieve LEED credits and are GREENSPEC Listed
