Product Description:

WARASHIELD
100% Acrylic

Description
WARATAH WARASHIELD is tough pure acrylic high performance elastomeric coating suitable for the protection of exterior and decorative interior surfaces. It has been formulated with the best quality grade raw materials to enable such high performance.

This product dries to a satin finish. It is an ideal material for covering matt texture coatings to improve durability and washability.

Recommended uses
WARATAH WARASHIELD is suitable for use on all masonry surfaces, timber (after appropriate priming), CFC sheeting and fiber cement sheeting. It can be used on all suitably prepared exterior surfaces particularly broadwall areas.

Surface Preparation
Ensure surface is clean and free from dust, dirt and grease. All loose, peeling and flaking material must be removed with a scraper. Sand the surface smooth and remove all dust. Sand enamel painted surfaces until all gloss is removed. Fill holes and cracks with a suitable filler and sand lightly to an even finish.

NOTE:
If it is suspected that the surface is strongly alkaline then WARAPRIME Sealer should be used.
Preparatory Coats
Previously Painted Surface
Sand surfaces thoroughly to remove loose peeling, flaking and chalky paint. Glossy surfaces should be sanded prior to painting.

New Timber
Ensure good surface preparation. Fill nail holes and cracks after priming and apply one coat of WARASHIELD.

Bare Plaster
Ensure surface is cured and non alkaline and all joints are sanded smooth before painting.

Fibro, Brick, Cement Render
Remove all loose material by rubbing down with a hard block, then dust off. Allow one month for new concrete t cure before painting.

Application
For best results practice using a piece of clean scrap board, practice until you achieve a uniform texture. For roller application load the roller with a thick coating. Apply an even heavy coat using medium pressure, over a small area, approximately 1 to 1.5m2.
