Aircraft are needed that can guarantee to carry the vehicles operated by ground forces, as well as the transport and combat helicopters that are fundamental to land campaigns.
Light armored vehicles and Land Rover-type vehicles could be carried in smaller transports, but there is also a requirement to carry the new generation of larger vehicles like Ridgeback and Panther. Logistics units might require heavier engineering equipment such as cranes.
